Now Hiring Summer Interns!

The Ventura County Baseball Club is currently recruiting Athletics Operations Interns. We are looking for passionate, independently motivated students who are interested in a career in sports, who wish to earn college credit while learning about game day operations, broadcasting, statistics, and social media marketing with our three-team college summer baseball organization. As our intern, you will work side-by-side with our coaches, players, and event staff, gaining a valuable "hands-on" experience to propel you toward your sports career goals.

Tasks performed:

• Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of home games

• Update team website and social media accounts with scores, pictures, videos, game recaps, etc.

• Maintain the official scoresheet and operate the scoreboard during home games

• Play music during home player walk-ups, pitching changes, and between innings, as well as situational sound effects over the PA system

• Announce starting lineups, batters, substitutions, and other information over the PA system

• Assist Play-by-play Announcer with statistics, player backgrounds, and other information for broadcast

Requirements:

• General knowledge of baseball rules and gameday experience, scorekeeping experience is a plus

• Basic experience with audio equipment

• Social media savvy, professional writing ability and adherence to team’s posting standards

• Must be available on weekday evenings and weekends
