The Pro-Am Bucs clashed with the Redbirds on Saturday, July 1st at 11 am. Hosting the game at their home field, Los Angeles Valley College, the Bucs aimed to build on their recent success, having defeated the Redbirds in their previous encounter 7-3. With a solid 14-5 record coming into the game, the Bucs were determined to claim victory once again.
The final score of the game stood at 12-7, with the Bucs winning. Key player performances proved pivotal in securing the win. First baseman Andrew Sharp displayed his batting technique, contributing 2 runs, 2 hits, and 2 RBIs, including a stolen base. Tucker Panarisi also made his presence felt on the basepath, scoring 3 runs and delivering 2 hits, including a powerful double. Rider Gordon, in at extra hitter, demonstrated his offensive capabilities with a double, 2 runs, and 2 RBIs. Matthew Leiterman added 1 run, 2 hits, and 1 RBI, plus a stolen base. This well-rounded effort from the Buc's team heavily influenced the outcome.

A number of statistics revealed the Bucs' dominance, with 12 runs scored on 9 hits and only one error. The Redbirds, on the other hand, managed 7 runs on 7 hits but committed 4 errors. As a result of the Redbirds' errors, walks, and wild pitches, the Pro-Am Bucs were able to take advantage of their advantage.
The Bucs wasted no time scoring in the first inning to establish an early lead. The Redbirds retaliated with a five-run surge in the third inning. They drove in these runs through walks and singles. Undeterred, the Bucs mounted a remarkable comeback, putting up 6 runs in the bottom of the third. This included a clutch double from Rider Gordon with the bases loaded to score 2.
In the 5th inning, the Redbirds added another run, but the Bucs countered with 3 runs to remain on top. The Redbirds scored another run in the 6th, but the Bucs sealed the deal with 2 final runs in the 8th inning, securing their triumph with a final score of 12-7. The Bucs' ability to capitalize on sac flies, wild pitches, and defensive errors by the opposing squad demonstrated their versatility in scoring runs.
With this victory, the Pro-Am Bucs' season record now stands at 15-5. Looking ahead, the Bucs are set to face off against the LA Legends on Thursday, July 6th, at 4 pm. Fans can expect another exciting game at Los Angeles Valley College.
