The Pro-Am Bucs and the Long Beach Legends faced off in an intense doubleheader on Saturday June 24th at Los Angeles Valley College. The first game kicked off at 11am, followed by the second at 2pm. Both games were limited to 7 innings. The Pro-Am Bucs entered the doubleheader with an impressive 10-4 record, hoping to add to their successful season.
In the first game, the Pro-Am Bucs clashed with the Long Beach Legends in an exhilarating matchup. The game took place at Los Angeles Valley College, with both teams vying for victory.
The Pro-Am Bucs showcased standout performances from their key players. Right fielder Elvis Park led the team with 2 hits and 2 RBIs, displaying his offensive prowess. Additionally, Park stole a base, contributing to the team's aggressive baserunning strategy. First baseman Andrew Sharp proved to be a force at the plate, recording 1 run, 1 hit, and 1 RBI. Sharp's well-rounded performance was highlighted by a remarkable home run, further solidifying his impact on the game.

Unfortunately, the Pro-Am Bucs struggled to find their rhythm in the second game. The team managed only 4 hits and 1 RBI throughout the 7-inning contest. Michael Carger provided the lone hit and run for the Bucs, showing determination on the basepath with a stolen base.
The Legends quickly gained momentum, scoring 4 runs in the second inning. They extended their lead with 3 more runs in the 5th inning. The Pro-Am Bucs' offense scored a lone run from an RBI walk. However, after the fifth inning, neither team added to their tally, resulting in a 7-1 victory for the Legends.
Hunter Zanki and Noah Onoye pitched for the Pro-Am Bucs in the second game. Zanki pitched 4 innings, allowing 2 hits, 4 earned runs, and 4 strikeouts. Onoye followed with a 3-inning outing, surrendering 4 hits, 3 earned runs, and striking out 2 batters.
The second game concluded with a final score of 7-1 in favor of the Long Beach Legends. Although the Pro-Am Bucs lost the second game, they split the doubleheader with one win and one loss. Their season record now stands at 11-5, as they continue to compete.
