San Bernardino Valley College - The Pro-Am Bucs faced off against the Biscuits in a close game on Tuesday, June 20th at 4:30 pm. The matchup between these two teams took place at San Bernardino Valley College, setting the stage for a competitive affair.
The score of the game stood at 6-7, with the Bucs falling just short of victory. Despite a valiant effort, the game concluded after 8 innings of play, leaving the Bucs hungry for redemption. The game resumed the following day after a delay, ending in the 10th inning with a final score of 7-8 giving the Bucs their third loss of the season.
Several key players made noteworthy contributions throughout the game. Rider Gordon showed off his versatility in the batter's box, tallying 2 hits, 2 RBIs, and 1 run scored, while also drawing a walk. Michael Carger displayed his all-around skills, hitting 1 hit, 2 RBIs, and a stolen base. Troy May added to the team's offensive efforts with a double and a run scored.
The game witnessed some memorable moments and highlights, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. However, the Bucs' pitching faced some challenges, conceding 12 hits and 7 runs, with 6 earned runs. Unfortunately, the Bucs failed to score in the 7th and 8th innings, while the Biscuits capitalized on an opportunity to take a 6-7 lead. After a delay the game resumed the following day. Each team scored 1 run resulting in a 7-8 defeat for the Bucs.
With this loss to the Biscuits, the Pro-Am Bucs' season record is 9-3. However, the team remains determined and focused on their upcoming game against the L.A. Legends on Wednesday, June 21st at 4 pm. The contest will take place at Long Beach City College, and the Bucs will seek to bounce back with a strong performance.
